How to Do Facial at Home Using Natural Products

I used to go to parlour once a month for facial and found it very expensive. So I decided to do facial at home using natural products.  This saves money and also my skin becomes better now because I am using natural products. You can too do facial at home as it’s very easy. In this article I will tell you step by step procedure to do facial. Let’s get started:

Step 1: Cleansing

The very first step is to clean your skin using a cotton ball. Dip the cotton ball in raw milk and apply it on your skin in circulation movement. This will remove all the dirt from your skin. After cleansing, wash your face with cold water. You can use your face wash also to clean your skin but make sure to use oil free face wash if you have oily skin.

Step 2: Exfoliating

Next step is exfoliation; means removing dead skin from your face. If you have a face scrub then you can use that to exfoliate your skin. I will tell you how to make a natural, homemade scrub using ingredients from your kitchen.  We will be using baking soda to exfoliate your skin because it has the property of skin whitening. Baking soda also removes any white and beachheads and make your skin clean. So add 1 tablespoon of baking soda with few drops of water and mix it well. Now rub this paste on your face in circular motions for 2-3 minutes. Once the paste become dry removes it with warm water and splash your face later with cool water.

Step 3: Steaming

It helps in opening up skin pores and makes your skin glowing.  So for steaming, boil the water in a vessel and add few drops of rosewater in it. Now cover your face with a towel and lean down to take steam from the hot water. Take steam for 10-15 minutes by taking gaps in between. Once done, wash your face with cool water.

Step 4 : Facial Mask

It’s time to apply facial mask on your face. Facial mask should be chosen according to your skin type. For oily skin use mud/clay mask as this skin type need extra care. For dry skin, go for any creamy mask and for sensitive skin use any light gel mask. I will tell you how to make your own facial mask at home for each skin type.

For Oily Skin Type: If you have oily skins then use this mask. This facemask helps in removing impurities and dirt from your skin. So for this skin type we will be making multani mitti or fuller earth mask. Multani mitti is very effective remedy for treating acne and pimples. It also helps in getting rid of extra oil on your face.


  1. Take a bowl of water and add two tablespoons of multani mitti in it. Keep mitti soaked in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Now add few drops of lemon juice and rose water in it. You can also add one tablespoon of milk in it to avoid over-dryness.
  3. Apply this mask on your face for 30 minutes then wash it off with cool water.

For Dry Skin : If you have dry skin then using this face mask will help in moisturizing your skin and make it look fresh.


  1. Take 1 cucumber, squeeze out its juice in a blender.
  2. Add two teaspoons of aloe vera gel in it. Mix them well and apply on your face for 30 minutes

Step 5 : Moisturizing

The last step is to moisturize your skin to prevent it from dehydration.  Use a good moisturizer according to your skin type.  You should also know the right technique to apply moisturizer on your face. Don’t apply the cream top to bottom asset may cause sagging. If you have dry skin then you need to moisturize your skin often as compared to oily skin.
